The South Forest Flour Mill I have been scratchbuilding for a while is now 'finished' and in place on my layout. I decided to go for a 'rendered' look for the walls, and I got a hint from a friend to use Wet and Dry paper, so I used 280 grit Wet and Dry Paper for walls, and painted them white. I also added some weathering to the walls and rust color to the roof.

Recently I re-discovered the wonders of Flash animation and decided I would enhance some of the pages on the site by adding some Flash movies and animations into them. I worked out how to do some things in Flash that had evaded my comprehension in the past, and have incorporated the things I learned into the animations.

Since December 2007 I have been making a video series about model and prototype railroading and have been uploading them to YouTube. The latest one has just been uploaded today, and features a Switch Job switching the Forest Junction industries.
What do Laptop Computers and Model Railroad Turnouts have in common?
I found an interesting way to power turnout point motors on my layout. Originally I used a 13 Volt Automotive Battery Charger. But I found the turnout motors were not always responding well, and sometimes they were very noisy.
