The C&SFT Railroad hosts a number of trains, including timetabled trains, extras, switch and yard jobs, and local trains. These are the trains currently shown on the Train Sheet over a cycle of 7 operating sessions.

Timetabled Trains

20
A westbound EJE train which runs over the C&SFT from Van Loon, Indiana to the C&SFT Interchange yard at Calumet South. Mostly handles chemicals, paper, box car freight, and food stuffs.

An eastbound EJE train which runs over the C&SFT from the C&SFT from the Interchange Yard to Van Loon, Indiana. Is the eastbound counterpart of train 20.
815
An eastbound IHB train which runs over the C&SFT railroad from Dolton Junction near Blue Island to the C&SFT Interchange Yard. The loco of this train returns light to the IHB's Blue Island yard upon delivery of cars to the Interchange Yard. This train handles wood products, wheat, electrical components, food stuffs, diesel and gasoline fuels, and other box car freight.
222I
A northbound MWSL train originating in Galesburg, Illinois, which runs over the C&SFT from Midwest Junction to the C&SFT Interchange yard where it often picks up and drops off cars, then through Dolton Junction, then runs over Chessie trackage into the Chessie / B&OCT's Barr yard. This is primarily a COFC / TOFC train although occasionally the train has other types of cars destined for C&SFT industries.
184I
This is the southbound counterpart of 222I, except that it does not pick up or drop off cars at the C&SFT's Interchange Yard, running express from Barr yard, through Dolton Junction, Midwest Junction and on to Galesburg, Illinois.
BI19
The westbound counterpart of IHB train 815, this train is a C&SFT operated train which transfers cars between the C&SFT Interchange Yard and IHB 's Blue Island yard. The motive power for this train returns light to the C&SFT Interchange Yard, via Dolton Junction.

Extra Trains

Extra 4137
A Chessie COFC / TOFC train that runs between Barr Yard and the C&SFT Interchange via Dolton Junction in both directions. Occassionally runs through to Griffith via Midwest Junction.
Extra 3576
A Chessie mixed freight local train that runs between Gary, Indiana, and the C&SFT Interchange Yard on EJE and C&SFT trackage in both directions.
221M / 225M
MWSL Manifest trains that run between South Bend, Indiana, Van Loon, and Barr Yard via EJE and C&SFT trackage
CP8210
This train is a SOO Line / CP joint run train that uses CP motive power (that's why it has 'CP' in the train name). This train hauls SOO Line, CP, CN, GTW, and cars owned by railroads that had corporate ties with Canadian railroads. It runs between Schiller Park (SOO) and Franklin Park (CP) in Illinois and Van Loon, Indiana. Sometimes it terminates at the C&SFT Interchange Yard.

C&SFT Operated Trains

These trains are not identified by a train number or symbol, but rather by their name.

South Forest Locals
This is the name given to all trains operated by the C&SFT that run between the C&SFT Interchange Yard and South Forest. Serves mainly industries located at South Forest but sometimes switches other industries enroute.
Midwest Locals
This is the name given to all trains operated by the C&SFT that run between the C&SFT Interchange Yard and Midwest Junction. Mainly serves industries located between the Thorn Creek bridge and Midwest Junction, including the Midwest Junction Interchange Track. Sometimes switches other industries enroute. This train currently has to push cars when traveling from the Interchange yard to Midwest Junction as there is no available turnaround track past Thorn Creek bridge.
Van Loon Locals
The name given to all local C&SFT trains that operate between the C&SFT Interchange Yard and Van Loon, including industries in the Forest Junction switching area.
Switch Jobs
Local switching duties between the Interchange Yard, Calumet South, and Forest Junction.
Yard Jobs
Switching and associated activities in the C&SFT Interchange Yard.
